Cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest sports and is back on trend. The Maria Alm region offers over 40 km of well-prepared cross-country trails for classic and skate style cross-country skiers.
Start out close to the farm and explore the region on cross-country skis. Glide along gently, taking in the dreamy landscapes or pick up a faster pace or take your time as you explore the mountains and valley.
Inhale the fresh mountain air. On the mountain cross-country trails at the Arthurhaus (dogs permitted) in neighbouring Mühlbach and the Dienten Saddle, you can savour exceptional views of the mountains all around. Maria Alm is also home to an illuminated night-time cross-country trail.
And if that’s not enough, you can explore over 150 km of perfectly prepared cross-country trials in Saalfelden and its ‘Nordic Park’ just 6 km away. From the simple valley trail with guaranteed snow (thanks to artificial snow-making) up to the challenging World Championship trails with steep slopes and lengthy descents – here you will find everything a cross-country skier could desire!
